About Us
Locksmiths at the heart of Newton-le-Willows
We serve all of St Helens and beyond with locksmithing services from our base in Newton-Le-Willows

Our Story
LockFort Security started in 2025 from our homebase in Newton-Le-Willows, and we’ve got some big ideas about how we can make the St Helens borough safer for everyone.
Founder, Tom, has always been interested in mechanisms and locks and eventually combined a 20-year work history in Sales and Marketing with a love of helping people keep safe.
Since then, we’ve found more ways to reach out and help people in Newton-le-Willows and beyond, by ensuring their doors and windows work, their homes are secure, and they have what they need to get by in an ever-changing world
What We Do
We’ve started as a small locksmith in Newton-le-Willows, but we’ve got big plans on how to help our community and beyond
Right now, we’re offering locksmith services all over St Helens, helping people ensure that homes across the borough are solid, safe and secure.
Sometimes we help occupiers gain access back into their properties after a lockout, or sometimes we’re helping to re-secure a property after a nasty breakin and advising on how the home security can be improved to prevent further problems.
But more than that, we realised that we’re mobile and have a responibility to our community while we’re out there, helping raise awareness about grants and funding they can get, supporting the vulnerable and elderly, and helping to foster better community relations

FAQs
Are you a fully insured locksmith?
Absolutely. We have a comprehensive insurance policy suitable for the locksmithing activities we carry out on domestic properties.
How much do you charge for locksmithing?
We have a full price list accessible from our Locksmith Services page.
There’s no callout charge during normal hours of operation and our prices consistently come under the MLA price averages for our area, giving our customers a great value service for less!
Do you work with vulnerable or elderly customers?
Yes, most certainly. Infact we offer an OAP discount on many services and Tom, our locksmith, is DBS checked for your peace of mind.
Do you offer any warranties?
Yes. All workmanship is warrantied by us under a fitters warranty for 1 year,, and manufacturer warranties apply to locks supplied and fitted as applicable.
Are your locks insurance company approved?
All of our mortice locks fitted to outside facing doors will be kitemarked to the appropriate British Standard level. On multipoint locks we can replace your lock with a like-for-like non-standard lock as are fitted on many homes, however we do prefer to upgrade you to at least a 1* British Standard Eurocylinder, or 3* cylinder for added protection (that’s what I have fitted on my own home!).
Are your locks high security?
There are different standards of security on locks to fit different budgets.
Our highest levels of security come with technology making them anti-pick, anti-snap, anti-drill and anti-pretty much anything else you can think of!
Sadly, there isn’t a property that a skilled, determined and equiped criminal can’t enter given enough time and effort, however our highest security locks certainly make it hard enough that many won’t even bother to try!
Can you help me get back into my house after I get locked out?
Almost certainly, provided you are able to prove you have the legal right to access the property.
The only questions are about how: we prefer non-descrutive methods of entry however on some locks this is extremely difficult or practically impossible.
Sometimes it may be that we have to destroy the lock to gain access, however this is done in a way that minimises damage and noise where possible.
